For Zaam Arif, it's all connected. Movies, philosophy and physics are just three of his touchstones–and he's even pursued more than one of those professionally. But somehow, everything always seems to come back to his art. From his Houston home, the painter spoke with us about the sometimes overwhelming nature of just being, how his paintings are portraits of both the viewer and himself, and why Houston's food scene is one of the best around.
