Delhi Contemporary Art Week (DCAW) returns for its third edition, illuminating the works of emerging, as well as high calibre artists from different parts of the subcontinent and neighbouring South Asian countries. Seven galleries—Nature Morte, Vadehra Art Gallery, Shrine Empire, Gallery Espace, Latitude 28, BluePrint12 and Exhibit 320—bring 50 contemporary artists under one roof for the week-long event. Showcasing a selection of prints, drawings, paintings, installations and sculptures, the gamut of works is diverse—in medium, skill and theme. From exploring claustrophobic urbanisation to commenting on patriarchal constructs, each artist unravels complex socio-political narratives afflicting modern society. We narrow the lens on a few artists from Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bhutan and India.
