It’s looking back time at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) in New Delhi. And one artist, whose works had gone underground, has emerged once again to viewers’ delight. Benode Behari Mukherjee is back. An artist who was responsible for making Shantiniketan the art capital of India, Mukherjee began with sketches, watercolours and moved to tempera on wood, works on silk, textile block prints and finally paper cut works.
