"The potential for unity between body and mind is a central concern of the artist and is often expressed through her interest in yogic practices. Contemplating the root of the word Yoga as ‘to yoke’ or of being connected or tied to a higher force remains a major preoccupation. In this presentation it is represented in the sculptural work Memory Flows, 2014, an accordion like paper structure connected to gold thread and in the new wall-based work Imagined Reality, 2025, it’s black tones and disrupted lines presenting a visualisation of the tensions that occur when there is pain or imbalance in the body and mind. Imagined Reality’s Sister work Imagined Unreality 2025, with its harmonious colour and lines speaks to the yearning for creating peace in a troubled and complex world."
