'This World We Live in' is a presentation by Vadehra Art Gallery featuring important Indian contemporary artists Anju Dodiya, Atul Dodiya, Shilpa Gupta, Gulammohammed Sheikh and K.M. Madhusudhanan who run subjective interferences on various epochs of history as varied ideas of source and the heterogenous ideological legacies that frame our constructs of the contemporary world.
To define the flow of time is to interrupt it, but without concentrated undertaking history is motionless. With a personified Pangaea at the apex of our family tree, the world we live in is characteristically inherited. How did we move through all this time and space through bifurcating persuasions yet remain centered on the basic human premise of survival – and in the best case scenario – progress?
